Nigella Lawson

Nigella Lawson is famous for her cooking skills and revived the ‘snowball’ drink at Christmas this year. Her recipe for the drink included a twist of lime but we recommend an additional shot of vodka. Try a third advocar, toped with lemonade with a shot of vodka. Add a small shot of lime and hey presto! Nigella has a holiday home on the Costa Blanca so keep an eye out if you book a holiday in the area. No connection between the snowball as this area of Spain as it is more orange groves than limes but we bet she makes a smashing sangria!

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is best known for his role in pirates of the caribbean but its France he favours for holidays. "I've always loved it there," he said. "The phones don't ring as much. Movies are never brought up in conversation. I'll take the kids and we'll go out to the trampoline and the swing set, and we'll stop by the garden and see how our tomatoes are doing. You know, old-fart stuff. Good stuff." If you do spot him on your travels, best not mention the movies then eh!

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger is probably best known for the Terminator movies. The star has a huge villa in Barbados and a local tourist guide told us he was shorter than he appeared on film. Better be careful we thought, given ‘I’ll be back’ Arnie is always a likely celebrity sighting on the island. His place is between Bridgetown and Spieghton on the fabulous west coast.

Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas and his gorgeous wife Catherine Zeta-Jones have a holiday home on Spain’s Costa Blanca. Neighbours include Nigella Lawson and we wondered if the three of them ever attend the famous tomatina in Bunol? This is the world’s largest tomato throwing event (yes at each other) but we were not sure if roles would help. If you saw Micheal in ‘Falling Down’ you might like to be careful if you run into him!

Cilla Black

Cilla Black has an apartment in Guardamar (Spain) and a fantastic little condo in Barbados. Most famous for her ‘surprise surprise’ show we were ‘surprised’ to see her cracking little place was close to Arnie’s. We don’t know what you think but the thought of hearing Cilla singing in the shower must knock down the value of property! Sorry Cilla..

Courtney Cox

Courtney Cox Arquette and husband David paid the Caribbean island of St. Martin a post-nuptial visit. It’s a fantastic holiday destination and I guess it’s easy for Courtney to make friends…sorry about that one! If you are ever looking for a great film you ought to try the one starring Courtney’s new sister-in-law. True Romance is a cracking film from the hugely talented Quentin Tarantino.

Harrison Ford

A private island off the coast of Belize (Cayo Espanto) is one of the places Harrison Ford likes to holiday. We imagine it’s much like the set from that film ‘Six days seven nights’ he starred in with Anne Heche. Hope he did’nt fly the plane!

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took a recent holiday at the eco-resort Caneel Bay on St John. We don’t know about you but our team all agreed we would avoid sharing the beach with this couple. Brad and Angelina in swimming costumes is not something to compete with eh!

Tony Blair

Tony Blair was accused of "cheapening" the office of Prime Minister after jetting off for a 2007 New Year family holiday in Florida. He stayed at the luxurious mansion owned by Robin Gibb where renting a similar property for a week could cost up to £40,000. We can’t see Gordon being invited can you?

Terry Venables

Terry Venables has a home on the Costa Blanca in Spain. The ex England manager has a villa in Javea, between Barcelona, where he was also manager, and La Manga, where the football stars of today still train in the summer months. Perhaps Terry pops down to see some of the old crowd for a beer or two…

Billy’s famous for the role he played opposite Nicole Kidman in Dead Calm…lets hope he does’nt take Kelly Sailing along with their pet dog eh! If you’ve seen this cool film you’ll know what I mean…that poor little pooch!

Morgan Freeman is reported to be interested in buying a holiday home in Bulgaria. Famous for his role in ‘The Shawshank Redemption’, lets hope he chooses nicer accommodation than he had in the film! I thought I saw him once in New York…eager to chat I rushed up to find his waxwork outside Madam T’s just off Times Square….should have noticed the huge sign and avoided looking a complete fool!

James Blunt

James Blunt forks out £1.7 million on a ‘beautiful’ hilltop property in Ibiza. Let’s hope he keeps the property longer than his ex girlfriend Camilla who inspired the famous song as he serenaded her in her Notting Hill apartment. Last time in Ibiza he was seen with a new girlfriend Mika Simmons, an actress on TV (Casualty & Bad Girls). He also went our with Czech model Petra Nemcova, lucky guy eh..

Dustin Hoffman has been spotted on holiday in St Bart’s. You can add his name to a long list of celebrities who seem to flock to this Caribbean island hot spot. Dustin is probably best remembered for ‘Rain man’ where he starred alongside Tom Cruise and had a fear of flying…wander how he got to St Bart’s?
